This weather in New York is too temperamental for my liking. One day its a warm 65 degrees, the next it like the Arctics. This unpredictability has left me freezing my tail off one moment and melting like the Brisk Ice tea Snowman the next. I’ve found myself really relaying on layers. If its super cold, I’m nice and toasty under multiple layers and if its not that cold out, I can take off as many pieces, well as much as public decency would allow, to feel comfortable. Not only does this layering help me with the erratic New York weather, it also helps me create chic and interesting outfits.
This look sans coat and stole, would have been just fine but the addition of these two pieces gives this look more flavor. Another factor adding to the spice,is all of the fabric contrast. You have a leather skirt, fur stole, velvet boots and wool coat, its like a walking Mood store. All of this textural juxtaposition truly elevates the look.
With the holidays coming up this week, I find that the last thing I want to think about is what to wear. Luckily for me I have an online archive of various outfits I can put together. Luckily for you, you also have access to this archive of mine and can use it to put you own looks together (see what I did there? lol ) Any who, I hope you all enjoyed this post and have been inspired by these layers. There will be lots more inspiration coming this week on the blog, for where and what to shop and what to make and eat, so stay tuned for that.
