Back to Basics

Burnout is a real thing. When life is going 200 miles an hour and you’re being pull in a million directions, it can become extremely exhausting. Between emotional stress, to a crazy work schedule and major anxiety of it all not getting done, I’ve been suffering from a major case of burnout.

It’s moments like these, that make you really want to throw in the towel and quit. But for me, that’s not and option. There are too many goals I want to accomplish to let a bad case of the burnout derail me, so instead I’m going back to basics.

By basics, I mean slowing down a bit, talking care of myself, my mental and physical health and try to center myself. The first place that I go to make some improvement to start feeling like myself again is always my closet. Not to sound vain but I am definitely believe in the mantra, “If you look good, you feel good”.

Curating outfits that are easy going and subtly sexy, like today’s look, will have anyone out of their funk in no time. I paired this nude, what I like to call, mulette top (because it’s business in the front and party in the back, get it?)  with  a high waist skirt from Zara and finished off with some basic white strap heels.  Top: via Burlington (similar here)
