28

So last weekend, I celebrated 28th  birthday on Father’s day. Birthdays are really big to me because I feel like its a time to celebrate a persons life and to be shown how appreciative people are to have you in their life. Birthdays are also a time to reflect on your life and do a bit of a check on yourself to make sure you going in the direction you like to go. Though June 18th is my favorite day of the year, it’s also a day that brings me tons of anxiety.

I’m always striving to push myself and be the best and do the best that I can because I really don’t want to live a mediocre life. So usually thought my birthday is a celebratory time, I find that I beat myself up a bit to about not hitting certain goals or mile stones I set out for myself. This year’s birthday was different. I decide that instead of beating myself for not being as far along as I’d like to be, that I would  moment to just appreciate how far I’ve come and how far I have yet to go. I have an amazing husband, great family and friends, a solid career and a great passion project (this blog). Though my life isn’t exactly how I want it to be or where I think it should be, I can’t stop thanking God for the many blessing I do have and bringing me this far.

Cheers to my Twenty Gr8 year!!!!

Enough of all the emotion-mushy-sentimental stuff and back to the main event, this outfit. I told you guys (in this post) that I have a serious obsession to wide leg pants and that obsession has yet to cease. I even work a cute pair for my birthday brunch. Unfortunately, I didn’t get many photos on that day so you’ll have to check out the flick on my instagram.

This beautiful floral pair is from one of favs, Zara. Speaking of Zara, have you checked out their sale?  I have already picked up a few items and am definitely going back for more. If you haven’t checked it out run, don’t walk, to your nearest Zara. Thank me later.
